Did the MS Office ribbon work? A study had shown that about 90% of the feature requests for Microsoft Office were for features already in the product. People just didn’t know what was already there.
Quality = % of feature requests for new features (not existing features). At 90% feature requests for existing features, that puts Office 2003 at 10% Quality. Apparently the ribbon had a significant impact on the number of new features users actually discovered and used, as opposed to requesting existing features as if they were new.
